The PES Engagement Scholarship is awarded to PES students taking part in opportunities such as learning abroad, unpaid internships, unpaid undergraduate research, and National Student Exchange.
Involvement and engagement are important to students' success during college. However, the costs associated with these opportunities are often prohibitive, particularly for first-generation college students and students from working-class backgrounds.
The Engagement Scholarship application opens each fall and spring. Students apply in the fall for the following winter and spring opportunities. They also apply each spring for opportunities happening the following summer and fall.
