Spring 2021 Engagement Scholarship Recipient
The PES Engagement Scholarship has truly helped me financially; in the midst of a pandemic, it’s hard to find experiences and opportunities to supplement your education and still have the ability to pay for tuition, rent, and groceries.
The experience that I was able to do this spring is with the Minnesota Undergraduate Research and Academic Journal (MURAJ) as a reviewer. This semester, I’ve been learning about the research publication process, how to review manuscripts, and what it means to give constructive feedback to undergraduate authors. This experience has been so beneficial in my understanding of research and publishing which will help me in my future graduate studies and career goals as I hope to someday publish research of my own.
