By receiving the PES scholarship, I was able to be truly immersed in the lectures and the different environment in Thailand. Thus, my time spent in Thailand has given me a better and deeper understanding of my own identity as a Hmong individual. I feel truly blessed to have financial support for my study abroad in Thailand because this was not only an eye-opening experience, but one that is completely applicable to my life. Also because I received this scholarship, it pushed me to want to do everything I could do during my time in Thailand. The same thing could be said towards my education in Thailand, where I felt very motivated to absorb as much information that was given to me through the lectures, in-field experiences, and more.
Most importantly, the PES scholarship made my time in Thailand happen, and it allowed me to be in the moment during my study abroad in Thailand. I cannot express how much the PES financial support has impacted my time in Thailand, and I am endlessly grateful for the support given by PES.
